Mulder's been abducted. Kind of.
"The Guide says there'll be a storm before tomorrow morning. It's too much of a risk to start crossing the Deadlands before the storm. There's no shelter for miles. You're in a hurry?" Gatt asked. The big man's eyes flickered back to the fortune-teller once more.
"So you don't remember anything?" The doctor asked, looking from one to the other. They stared at each other, looking for a clue. Then both shook their heads simultaneously. "Nothing at all. What can you tell us?" The younger one asked eventually.
Mulder has a hard time getting Scully and Skinner to believe the truth about his new existence as a vampire.

MAJOR ANGST ALERT. There is virtually nothing light and fluffy about this one and barely a wisecrack in sight.
It was a freezing day - bright, and sunny, but bitterly cold. Skinner didn't feel the biting wind as he stood at the graveside, staring down at a sight more bleak than the climate - a hard, wooden coffin. Someone was crying, he wasn't sure who, as he stood, his arms by his side, gazing numbly at the casket. He didn't turn to look at the mourners behind him. None of them had as great a right to be here as he did, he was sure of that. He had taken his place at the head of the procession with pride. They couldn't deny him that, the way he'd been denied so much else...
"The Boss" series starts right after "Zero Sum". "Storms" is the 6th story and occurs just before "Demons". It also comes before the story called, "Lost, but Found". Walter Skinner struggles to fathom the depression and disturbing sexual needs that threaten to overwhelm and eventually destroy both his lover and their relationship.
The Boss" series starts after "Zero Sum". Number 7, "Demon Bound" takes place after the summer house scene. Nobody ever said what happens after a federal agent has holes drilled in his head, gets off on a hallucinogen, suffers clonic seizures, and holds a gun to his head. Well, they should have. This story comes before "Lost, but Found."
This is the sequel to "Consent". Mulder tries to recover from being raped and to get on with his life with Walter Skinner, but along come complications.
WARNING: This story deals with disturbing content. It deals with incest, child molestation, rape, sexual slavery, and the aftermath such brutality fosters. This is a dark tale stemming from a darker reality. If any of that bothers you past reason and control, DON'T READ THIS STORY. Sadly, I never have to make anything up. I just read the papers and the pieces are there to be stitched together, pain the thread that binds each victim, misery the fabric of their souls.
